Rabbi Azriel Rosner

Rabbi Azriel Rosner

Tiferet's Rosh Midrasha (Dean), grew up in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn, NY. He has earned a B.A. from Yeshiva College, a Masters in Jewish Education from the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and he received Smicha from Yeshiva University. Rabbi Rosner's dynamic and energetic teaching style has enlightened hundreds of students at Yeshivat Reishit Yerushalayim, Machon Gold, Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim (MMY) and Yeshivat Har Etzion.

Rabbi Elie Mayer

Rabbi Elie Mayer

Tiferet's Mashgiach Ruchani (Dean), grew up in Toronto, Canada. His B.A. is from York University and he received Smicha from both Dayan Zalman Nechemia Goldberg and HaRav Mordechai Machlis. Rabbi Mayer's enthusiasm and kindness has inspired countless students at Yeshivat Reishit Yerushalayim, Machon Gold, Midreshet Lindenbaum, and Midreshet Moriah. He has also affected many others through his lecturing for the Hebrew University Overseas Program, Isralight, Aish HaTorah, and Birthright.

Mrs. Leba Schneider

Mrs. Leba Schneider

Tiferet's Director of Student Affairs, grew up in Teaneck, NJ. She has her B.A. from Stern College and is currently concluding a masters program with the Bernard Revel Graduate School. Mrs. Schneider has amazed students at SKA/HALB, WYHS of Boca Raton, MMY, Midreshet Lindenbaum and Keshet. Her dynamic shiurim and down-to-earth personality has made Mrs. Schneider a favorite among her students. She has also participated in Jewish outreach programs in both Australia and the former Soviet Union.

Mrs. Karen Hochhauser

Tiferet's Director of Alumnae, grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Stern where she was a member of the Stern College fellowship program in Advanced Talmudic studies. She is currently finishing her Masters Degree from the Yeshiva University Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education. Before she made aliyah with her family, she worked for the Agency for Jewish Education of the Jewish Federation of Detroit, Michigan and taught at Hillel for 5 years. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she was the director of Israel guidance for the girls as well as the assistant to the Director of Student programs. She and her husband worked for NCSY for several years, serving on the administration of the Etz Chaim region.

Rabbi Michael Bramson

Rabbi Michael Bramson, learned in Yeshivat Shaalvim and then graduated from Yeshiva University with a B.A. in Psychology. He has taught at the Yeshiva of Manhattan Beach and the Melvin J. Berman Hebrew Academy in Silver Spring, MD. His students admire him for his love for Torah and his selfless dedication to their growth. He has been a frequent lecturer at the Young Israel Shomrei Emunah Kehilla in Silver Spring. Since making "Aliya" in the summer of 2004, Rabbi Bramson has been a Rebbe at Yeshivat Torat Chaim and Yeshivat Ohr Yerushalayim.

Mrs. Dina Etigson

Mrs. Dina Etigson, grew up in Brooklyn, NY. After receiving her B.A. from State University of New York at Albany and working at Morgan Stanley, Mrs. Etigson moved to Israel and joined the Matmidot Program at Matan and then the Machon Gevoha Program at Nishmat. Mrs. Etigson has also worked as a teacher and a Rakezet (advisor) for Midreshet Moriah. Students thrive on her rare combination of intellect and spirituality.

Mrs. Pesha Fischer

Mrs. Pesha Fischer has worked as a Campus Torah Educator at the University of Maryland. Previously she was the Judaic Studies Coordinator at Yavneh Academy in Dallas. Pesha has studied in the Bruriah Scholar's Program at Midreshet Lindenbaum and at Matan. She holds a Master's Degree in Jewish Education from Yeshiva University. She has taught at MMY and Michlelet Neve Daniel and is currently teaching at Tiferet and Machon Maayan. Pesha lives in Modiin with her husband and three children.

Mrs. Zeva Goldberg

Mrs. Zeva Goldberg grew up in Queens, NY and studied at Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalyim. She graduated from Queens College with a B.A. in Linquistics and Communication Disorders and received a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Lehman College. She practiced speech therapy in various schools in New York and New Jersey before making Aliyah. Zeva and her husband participated in a YU Community Kollel in Bayside, NY and then were the Av and Eim Bayit in Shaalvim for Women. Zeva is currently a Rakezet (advisor) at Tiferet.

Rabbi Dovid Gottlieb

Rabbi Dovid Gottlieb made aliyah to Israel from Baltimore, MD where he was the rabbi of Congregation Shomrei Emunah. Rabbi Gottlieb received his rabbinic ordination from YU where he was also a member of their prestigious Wexner Kollel Elyon. A highly regarded teacher and speaker, Rabbi Gottlieb has been invited to speak in shuls and schools around the Unites States and in Israel. He is the author of Ateret Yaakov (Hebrew), a book about various halackic topics, and he is currently writing an Englsih book about the laws of Yom Tov. Rabbi Gottlieb's classes are filled with energy and excitement and he loves to share the beauty of Torah with his students. When not teaching or writing Rabbi Gottlieb enjoys reading, sports, and hanging out with his kids (they like it too!). The Gottlieb family lives in Ramat Shilo.

Mrs. Rena Gross

Mrs. Rena Gross, a Tiferet Rakezet (advisor), graduated from Bruriah High School in New Jersey and then went on to learn in Michlalah for two years. Upon earning her B.A. from Stern College, Mrs. Gross completed her Masters degree at Teachers College of Columbia University. She has been involved with Michlelet NCSY and organized the women's Beit Midrash program at the B'nei Yeshurun Shul in Teaneck, NJ. Besides teaching at Yavneh Academy and Moriah Day School, Mrs. Gross has dedicated her time to helping children with disabilities. Her sweet and warm demeanor is an asset for the students of Tiferet.

Mrs. Sara Leah Haber

Mrs. Sara Leah Haber grew up in Washington Heights and Brooklyn, and studied 2 years in Michlalah . She received her BA from Stern College in Judaic Studies and Biology and her Masters in Jewish Education from Azrieli Graduate School. Before making aliyah in 2007 and teaching in Tiferet, Mrs. Haber taught, was a grade advisor and planned programs in SKA in NY. She also taught in Michlalah and has lectured in various communities in NY and in Israel. Mrs. Haber is also very involved with the Son-Rise Program for autistic children.

Rabbi Natanel Lebowitz

Rabbi Natanel Lebowitz grew up in Staten Island, NY. He earned a B.A. from Yeshiva College majoring in Biology, and received Smicha from Yeshiva University. Rabbi Lebowitz has taught in BMT, Midreshet Moriah, and Shaalvim, and is currently working at Lev HaTorah and Tiferet.

Mrs. Aleeza Lebowitz

Mrs. Aleeza Lebowitz, grew up in Silver Spring, MD and has been living in Israel for the last seven years. She graduated from Stern College with a B.A. in Judaic Studies and received an M.S.W. from Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Mrs. Lebowitz has worked at Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim (MMY) and Bnos Chayil in Israel and for Aish Hatorah in New York and Yeshiva University in Israel.

Rav Judah Mischel

Rav Judah Mischel is the founder of "Tzama Nafshi" - a non-profit start-up dedicated to developing educational initiatives in Israel and the Diaspora, and is the Rabbi of the Hebrew Academy for Special Children, a summer program for individuals with developmental disabilities in Parksville, NY. He was Director of Programming at Yeshivat Reishit for the past nine years, and previously taught at The Frisch School in Paramus, NJ, and Aish HaTorah, Jerusalem. Rav Judah studied Public Administration at the City University of New York School of Public Affairs, and was a Graduate Fellow at CUNY's Center for Coexistence. He is a Talmid of Yeshivat Shaalvim and a graduate of Yeshiva University, having completed a B.A. in History, an M.A. from Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration, as well as Rabbinic Ordination through the Jerusalem Rabbinate.

Mrs. Brie Reich

Mrs. Brie Reich grew up in Chicago, IL and received her BA in Education from Stern College. Prior to making Aliyah in 2004, she taught in Arie Crown Hebrew Day School in Chicago. Currently, Brie is a Rakezet at Tiferet along with teaching at Michlelet NCSY during the summer months. Brei also serves as her community chesed coordinator.

Dr. Avigail Rock

Dr. Avigail Rock holds a PhD in Tanach from Bar-Ilan University, has been teaching Tanach and Tora Shebeal Peh for over two decades in Israel and abroad. Her online classes appear regularly through Yeshivat Har-Etzion's Virtual Bet Midrash,. She is a certified Rabbinical Advocate, and lives in Bet Shemesh with her husband, Rabbi Yehuda Rock, and their five children.

Rabbi Simi Sherman

Rabbi Simi Sherman and family made aliyah from Boca Raton, FL in 2009. As a member of the Boca Raton Community Kollel, Rabbi Sherman taught middle school students at the Hillel Day School of Boca Raton and adult education classes through the Kollel and the Boca Raton Synagogue. Rabbi Sherman has also been teaching at Lev Hatorah for the past 3 years. He received a BA in economics, a Master's in education, and Smicha from Yeshiva University. Additionally, Rabbi Sherman holds an MBA from Lynn University. He lives with his wife and four children in Ramat Shiloh, Israel.

Mrs. Bracha Stefansky

Mrs. Bracha Stefansky grew up in Manhattan. After learning in Midreshet Moriah for a year and half, she received her BA from Stern College and a Masters in teaching from Azrieli Graduate School. Prior to moving to Israel in 2002, she taught in Hillel Academy in Passaic, NJ and still maintains close contact with many of her students.

Rabbi Moshe Yeshurun

Rabbi Moshe Yeshurun graduated from the Hesder Yeshiva program and Kollel at Yeshivat Kerem B'Yavneh, as well as Moreshet Yaakov College in Rechovot, Israel. He received semicha from the Israeli Chief Rabbinate and a Teacher's Certificate from the Israeli Ministry of Education. Rabbi Yeshurun served as an infantry soldier in Tzahal with the Givati Brigade, and currently holds the rank of Captain as an IDF Chaplain. In the past he has worked at Yeshivat Mevaseret Zion, and at Yeshivat Achuzat Yaakov, where he organized extra-curricular activities for high school students, and he currently teaches at Yeshivat Reishit Yerushalayim as well. Rabbi Yeshurun is a well-loved teacher who brings his passion for Torah to his classes in Tiferet.
